ACHIEVE3000 IS A PROUD PARTNER IN

Day 2

Classroom Environment

OVERVIEW

On Day 2, Dr. Fisher focuses on observing students engaged in a close reading lesson. Together, the groups of students are working through their thinking. Learn how they make their thinking visible and share it with one another. Think about the role of the groups:

  • What are they doing?
  • How are they interacting?
  • What’s the language they’re using?
  • How are they clarifying their own understanding and asking each other to clarify a peer’s understanding?

Dr. Fisher invites you to think about the classroom environment and the actions the teacher must have taken to create this climate.
