How to Participate

From December 18, 2021 through January 2, 2022, Achieve3000 will be on the lookout for students who complete at least five lessons on Achieve3000 Literacy with a first-try activity score of 75% or greater. Students who meet that goal will be entered into statewide drawings for a chance to win Skullcandy wireless in-ear headphones! Plus, students who complete ten activities with a first-try score of 75% or greater will be entered into the drawing twice!

What You Need to Know

Eligibility: The Make the Break winter holiday contest is open only to students in the United States and select international locations. Students must be active Achieve3000 Literacy subscribers in grades 2-12.

Timing: The contest will run from December 18, 2021 through January 2, 2022. Days are determined by Eastern Standard Time.

How to Enter: There is no need to register for this contest. Students can simply log on and complete lessons between December 18 and January 2. Students should start a lesson, read the article, and complete the multiple choice activity for that lesson. If a student receives a first-try score of 75% or more on the lesson’s multiple choice activity, the lesson will be counted toward contest eligibility. If a student receives a first-try score of less than 75%, the multiple choice activity will not be counted. A student who completes five lessons with a first-try score of 75% or greater on the lesson activities will be entered into their state’s drawing. A student who completes ten lessons with a first-try score of 75% or higher on the lesson activities will be entered into the drawing twice. All activity types will be counted, including Stretch activities.

Winner Announcements: Winners will be announced in early January. The teachers and principals of the winners will be emailed, and the students’ first names, last initials, school name, district name, and state will be announced in the Notification Center.

Additional Notes: All potential winners are subject to verification by Achieve3000. Achieve3000’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the contest.

Publicity: Winners agree that Achieve3000 may post their first name, school name, district name, and state on its website, in the program, and via social media channels to notify all students that winners were chosen and the contest period has ended.

General Conditions: Achieve3000 reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the contest, or any part of it, at any time, should they choose to do so.

Disputes: Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this contest or any prizes awarded will be resolved by Achieve3000 at its sole discretion.
